Where? (Location)


Burriana is found just 12 kilometres from Castellón and 56 kilometres from the city of Valencia, surrounded by orange trees. A beautiful town that consists of 15 kilometres of uninterrupted coast that convert the El Arenal beach into one of the most beautiful along the coast, with its clear waters, fine sand as well as its restaurants and beach bars along the lively promenade where you can taste the excellent local dishes like the arroz marjalero, arroz empedrao (a mixed rice dish), el arroz a banda (a fish rice dish), el suquet de peix (a fish dish) or the fideuá. Burriana is strategically located in the most northern province of Valencia, in an area known as the Plana Baja.

In addition to the coastal countryside, Burriana comes with the Paraje Natural Municipal Clot de la Mare de Déu (a nature location in the Comunidad Valenciana), with natural springs, and forests made of elm trees, poplar and black poplar trees, willow trees, with grassy and water spots.

The old commercial port has been converted into a marina for boats and small and medium sized yachts while the city has grown at a constant rate over the last years and today counts a population of 30,000 inhabitants. The infrastructure and services have been evolving to cope with the population increase in Burriana, offering a centre for health, education, leisure and culture. The weekly market takes place on Tuesdays.
