Christie’s serves the most exclusive wine over the internet

The British auction house organises the first digital bid of the year, which presents a wide range of wine and liquor belonging to collections from all over the world.

Wines for bidding

The Wine Department at Christie’s, the international company of which Rimontgó is an exclusive member in the Iberian Peninsula, has presented its first online auction of 2018. The bid includes a wide range of wines and liquors, with exceptional qualities, that belong to notable collections all over the world. Another example about the importance that the world of wine and wineries has for the luxury company, that now takes more exclusive drinks on the net.

Those interested just have to enter onto the company’s website and go to the Christie’s Wine Online/NYC section. It is possible to filter the results by brand, country, region, and even production characteristics of the drink.  On selecting the bottle, the fee that the bid amounts to is shown, which started on the 27th March and will be settled next 10th April.

The sale starts with a magnificent offer of the rare Brunello di Montalcino Riserva by Biondi Santi, possibly the most acclaimed of all the wines in Tuscany.  It also passes through prestigious sections of Bordeaux, including a large variety of modern legends: Bottles of Lafleur 1982 and Petrus 1982 compete for attention, alongside a complete lot of Latour 1982.  The highest vineyards of Burgundy,  have a great presence  such as Musigny and Bonnes-Mares of Roumier, and the legendary Clos de la Roche Vieilles Vignes of Ponsot.

Finally, the unusual spirits add an exciting dimension to the auction. It is the case of the legendary 1964 The Winchester of Glenlivet and the 1978 Collection of Glenfiddich Rare which make up an excellent selection of Single Malt whisky, together with unusual bottle of Katuizawa and historic brandy. A wide range of names which in any other circumstance would be difficult to find, but which are now available to experts through the internet.
