Jávea; the safest coastal town in Alicante

Arenal beach in JáveaAfter Mayor José Chulvi met with those in charge of the security of the coastal town of Jávea (the Policía Autonómica, the Policía Local and the Guardia Civil) in the last Junta de Seguridad Ciudadana assembly held in Jávea town council, crime and security statistics were released which are amongst some of the lowest in the Province of Alicante and confirm the decline in crime experienced in Jávea over the past few years.

Thanks to the efforts of the Policía Local and the Guardia Civil who are continually supported by the Policía Autonómica’s surveillance of residential areas, the crime rate in Jávea has decreased by eight points since last year and currently stands at only 19.53 per 1,000 residents. In fact, the rate has lowered by over 20 points since 2005, which Mayor José Chulvi described as undoubtedly “one of the main reasons why many people decide to move to or to spend their holidays in Jávea”.
