The rebirth of the Marina Alta

It is a region with a unique beauty which now will be increased by the restoration of its main sights

Castillo de Denia

There is a coastal area of singular beauty in the Valencian Community, known as the region of the Marina Alta, with countless attractions that go beyond the sea. The coves and cliffs are combined with mountains and valleys, where numerous heritage remains are also being restored. The area attracts people from all over Europe and other parts of the world, who want to buy a house next to the Mediterranean and enjoy a better quality of life.

The region of La Marina is on the verge of undergoing a renaissance, largely due to investment from Europe. The Government of the Valencian Community has signed agreements with the different town halls to proceed with the refurbishment of castles and fortifications with the money from the European Regional Development Funds (ERDF). Seven projects to which Brussels is contributing 1.2 million euros, distributed among Dénia, Pego, Orba and Pedreguer, the archaeological ensemble of Cap d’Or de Teulada and two buildings in Benissa.

Cove of Benissa

In this region, which is the northernmost in the province of Alicante, well-known towns come together. The capital is Denia, although Javea is famous for its beauty, but also Calpe, Benissa, Teulada or Pego. Its beaches belong to what is known as Costa Blanca, with some of the most emblematic geographical features of the province, such as Cabo de San Antonio, Cabo de San Martín and Cabo de la Nao; as well as the well-known Peñón de Ifach.  The inland route through the Marina Alta leads to the hidden valleys, such as the Vall de Gallinera or the Vall de Alcalá.

It is undoubtedly one of the most special enclaves of the Valencian Community, where not only holidays can be enjoyed, but you also boasts an unbeatable quality of life every day of the year, in a truly Mediterranean style. For this, Rimontgó has the most special villas, in addition to other properties that are only managed through private sales.
